Possible Trip to New York City

Newcomers & Conch BIG APPLE WEEKEND APRIL 3 – 5, 2009

Join us for a 3 day/2 night weekend in The Big Apple - Friday through Sunday April 3-5, 2009.

We'll bus from Patriot's Mall to New York City in time for lunch at the well known Stage Deli, then check-in to our hotel double room (2 double beds) on 46th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues close to theater district, Rock Center, MOMA, Grand Central and 5th Avenue shopping. Rest of Friday free until 8pm show "American Buffalo" (note change), a new revival of a comedy drama about three small time crooks that come to blows during a plot to steal a buffalo nickel.

Saturday AM a tour guide joins us for a private tour of the city from the new Harlem to the north to SoHo and the Lower East Side, with time to shop at Canal Street (you can get off anywhere). Then to the matinee of the powerful new sell-out musical "Billy Elliot", followed by an early group dinner at Carmine's, a theater district favorite known for its family style large servings of good southern Italian food.

On Sunday we start with admission and a guided tour at the Metropolitan Museum, then head homeward with a late lunch stop at Lenny and Joe's Fish Tale on the old Boston Post Road in Madison, CT. Trip includes bus, hotel, continental breakfasts at hotel, two shows, city tour, group dinner, and taxes and tips. Lunches and Friday dinner are on your own.
