Purpose:

The Nurses' Group is for retired or semi-retired Registered Nurses from all practice areas who are interested in keeping up their knowledge related to health issues, particular diseases and current treatments. Some topics presented or on the calendar are: Parkinson's disease, End of Life Planning, Anxiety Disorders and treatments, etc

The participants need to be dues paying members of either Newcomers or CONCH.

We meet from September to June on the second Monday of the month from 1:30 PM to 3 PM in a member's home were the topic is presented, usually by one of the members. The host provides tea/coffee and small desserts. January and June are luncheon meetings in a local restaurant for socializing only.

We existed in the organization since 2006 and currently have about 20 members. You can join at any meeting and can attend any of the discussion meetings to see if you are interested in the group and its activities.
